You don't need a bigger dream.
You need the next season.

how I got here

I'm a podcast host, and the founder of Take Heart, a faith-inspired publishing and encouragement company created to help women who feel stuck, rediscover who God created them to be so they can courageously pursue the dreams God has placed in their hearts and intentionally build lives they truly love.

After walking through seasons of loss, transition, and starting over, I discovered that what often feels like the end of our story is actually where God begins. Today, I have the privilege of encouraging women through my podcast, journals, courses, and weekly letters, reminding them that they are never too old, too late, to dream again.

Let's get personal
it's time to start dreaming again

From professional photographer to...

ONE CANDLE. ONE MORNING AT A TIME.
AND GOD BEGAN TO REKINDLE MY LIFE.

For fifteen years I was a photographer. weddings, families, and hundreds of high school seniors who let me write two words on the palm of their hand at the end of a shoot. I loved it. And then I was burned out in a way I could not work my way out of.
Around the same time, almost everything familiar in my life began to change. My business. My home. My church. My mom. Two of my three children moved across the country.
I sold my camera.
I did not know what came next, so I stopped trying to figure it out for a while.    I took what I have come to call a sacred pause.
And every single morning, I lit a candle.

You do not need a five-year plan. You need to know where you are standing, and what the next step is.That is what everything here is built around. One season. One goal. One step. One day at a time.
Some seasons are for resting. Some are for building. The point is knowing which one you are in, and living it on purpose instead of by default

You don't have to figure out your whole life.  Just the next ninety days.

There is a pattern in my life I did not notice until I got quiet enough to look backward.  A softball glove that got me to college. Four chords and a capo that turned into years of leading worship. A camera and one question, God, what can I do with this? — that became a business I could never have designed on my own.
Not one of those was enough on its own. He does not ask you to find more. He asks you to bring what you have.

He doesn't ask youto find more.
He asks you to bring what you have.
